Chicken Burgers

A tasty chicken burger perfect for topping with your favourite salad ingredients.

  • Chicken mince
  • 1 kilogram
  • Carrots, grated
  • 2 medium
  • Spring onions, finely chopped
  • 4
  • Garlic, peeled and finely diced
  • 2 cloves
  • Reduced salt soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons
  • Breadcrumbs
  • 3/4 cup
  • Extra breadcrumbs to roll burgers in
  • A handful
  • Wholemeal bread rolls
  • 10 medium

Method

  1. Place all ingredients into a bowl and mix well.
  2. Divide the mixture into 10 equal sized burgers.
  3. Place the extra breadcrumbs onto a plate. Roll the burgers in the breadcrumbs until evenly coated.
  4. Put a frypan over medium heat and cover the base with oil.
  5. Place the burgers into the pan and gently fry for 5 to 10 minutes until golden brown on one side. Turn the burgers over and continue to cook until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. To serve, place a burger onto each bread roll and top with your favourite salad ingredients.

Try the following salad ingredients: lettuce, grated carrot, beetroot, tomato, pineapple, cucumber, capsicum or red onion.
