An easy, tasty GREEN alternative to the popular canteen classic.

Chicken mince

Brown onion, finely diced

Carrot, grated

Garlic, peeled and crushed or finely diced
10 grams (2 cloves)
Fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 teaspoon
Fresh thyme, finely chopped
½ teaspoon
Egg, whisked

Salt and pepper
To taste
Sesame seeds or poppy seeds

Method
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C
Place the mince, onion, carrot, garlic, parsley, thyme and salt and pepper into a bowl and mix well.
Divide the mince mixture into 10 portions. Using your hands press the portions into a log shape.
Place the 10 wraps onto a clean bench. Using a pastry brush, brush the egg around the edge of each wrap.
Place a mince portion into the middle of each wrap. Roll the wrap up tightly and place each roll seam side down, onto a lined baking tray.
Brush the sausage rolls with the remaining egg. Leave plain or sprinkle with either sesame or poppy seeds.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the wraps are golden brown and the chicken mixture is cooked through.
Note: You can make your own chicken mince by placing 1 kilogram of chicken thigh fillets into a food processor and blitzing until it resembles a mince texture.
